Pray to Me

Next time you see a prayer posted on the internet somewhere, perhaps you could send them this video. God doesn't need a computer to see prayers. So, when someone posts a prayer on a social networking site, they're literally doing the exact opposite of what Jesus told them to do. They're posting prayers for the sole purpose of sharing them with other people, perhaps many thousands of people - a far cry from mere synagogues and street corners. Check Matthew 6:4-6.

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Matthew 6:5-8 (New International Version (NIV))

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Matthew 6,4-8 (King James Version (KJV))
