Brendan O'Neill, editor of Spiked magazine, defends the Catholic Church against modern secularists; Adnan Rashid, of the Islamic Education and Research Academy, promotes Islam; and Michael Nugent, chairperson of Atheist Ireland, promotes secularism.

The debate was jointly organised by the UCC Philosophical, Atheist and Muslim Societies.
