Karen Stollznow - From Klingon to Close Encounters

Karen Stollznow is an author, paranormal investigator and Research Fellow of The James Randi Educational Foundation. A linguist with a background in history and anthropology, Dr. Stollznow specializes in a variety of topics including language myths, paranormal folklore, fringe religious practices and other superstitions.

Formerly the Editor of The Skeptic magazine (Australia), she now writes the regular Bad Language column for Skeptic Magazine (US) and has also written for Psychology Today, Scientific American Mind, Skeptical Inquirer, Australasian Science, and other publications.

Karen Stollznow is a popular media personality having hosted both the MonsterTalk and Point of Inquiry podcasts. Dr. Stollznow is the author of several books including Haunting America, God Bless America: Strange and Unusual Religious Beliefs and Practices in the United States and most recently, Language Myths, Mysteries and Magic.
